Come on down to the Colosseum to see all kinds of entertainment including: gruesome gladiator fights, seven lap long chariot races, and even wild animal fights against lions and elephants.

These very gladiators that you see fighting in the pits of the colosseum are actually slaves that wish for freedom, and the only way they can get it is buy fighting their own room mates to the death.

One of the greatest gladiators of all time was Spartacus. Legend has it that he lead the greatest revolt of all time in the roman empire. The story goes, that Spartacus gathered most of the slaves and broke free of the roman empire, their advantages that they had was the power of fighting experience and the power of mate-ship. They lost the battle but the 100 or so that survived including Spartacus where given a choice, if they reveled their leader Spartacus they would be free. But as Spartacus was about to reveal himself one of his comrades stood and cried “I’M SPARTACUS!” then another one stood and said the same thing, eventually everyone was chanting “I’M SPARTACUS!” to save their leader that would do anything for them. They all said they where Spartacus so they all received the same punishment, crucifixion.
